Summary

The Netherlands, below sea level and amongst the most densely populated countries in the world, has historically been built on a foundation of collaboration and innovation. Dutch government, businesses and knowledge institutions together constitute the engine of innovative solutions for all sorts of societal, en and urban challenges. The approach to these challenges goes hand in hand with the development of new products and services. In this context, challenges in the fields of water, circular economy, climate and innovation form key growth markets for the business community.

During this network event, speakers from the Netherlands government, research institutes and companies will present the latest developments and innovations in the field of urban building, water challenges in urban areas, high tech smart city innovations and the usage of waste in the circular economy. They will share their experience and insights into these topics in the context of urban challenges, providing examples from the Netherlands. The event provides an excellent opportunity for stakeholders interested in collaborating with companies from the Netherlands with the aim to boost business opportunities and collaborative efforts in urban development an circular energy. It provides a platform where these actors will be able to find partners to jointly work on challenges such as dealing with plastic waste or flooding.
