Summary

GSEF (Global Social Economy Forum) believes that youths are important change-makers in our local and international communities for more equal and sustainable future.

Although youths are today more exposed at higher risk of poverty and social exclusion in all continents, but they need hope for a better future and opportunities to build their capacities.

Networking among youth leaders and change-makers from different places with different backgrounds and experiences would generate synergies for better localizing SDGs and the New Urban Agenda to be implemented in different Asian countries especially through Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) approaches.

This networking event is for youths to explore, learn, share and discover how they can transform our economy and build a better and more equal & inclusive society but also to discover their potentials as drivers of sustainable urban development and what role to play in this movement.

Youths are not anymore followers of the action, but innovating leaders and creators.

As the growing number of youths see the potential of SSE to be a source of imagination for their alternative & transformative action, this networking event will provide a space of networking among those actors to affirm values of SSE including cooperation, solidarity, people-centeredness and democratic governance which are important for the sustainable urban development to make our societies more ethical and fairer.

This Networking Event will provide an opportunity for youth leaders who use social enterprises and ventures as a vehicle for social change to make bigger impacts, to sustain and care for our environment, challenging other youths to share common vision about the need to work together and to be more inclusive.

Those youth leaders who act as change-makers will plant seeds of knowledge, because once you get a tree, then you have a whole forest.
