The purpose of ASF-Int is to enable vulnerable and marginalised communities access to architectural services, research, and educational resources in order to enhance their resilience and challenge inequality. ASF-Int has been actively engaged in local discourses and practices to support the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. To mention a few, ASF-Nepal is working together with Habitat for Humanity to support rehabilitation after Gorkha earthquake 2015. ASF-Sweden is supporting upgrading efforts in informal settlements lead by grassroots organisation Slum/Shack Dwellers International in cities of India. ASF-Indonesia has been promoting sustainable architecture through development of schools and community facilities made with bamboo materials and technologies.
