Sustainable Mobility is necessary to reach development and climate goals. Mobility is the door opener for more holistic and integrated urban development due to various (co-)benefits and its primal role for spatial development. Sustainable Mobility is a central theme to AGENDA 2030, seven (7) of 17 SDGs are related to mobility. Many other SDGs can't be reached without sustainable Mobility e.g. SDG 11 Sustainable Cities, SDG 13 Climate Protection, SDG 3 Health. Transport is responsible for 28% of energy related GHG emissions; Climate protection needs a decarbonized transport sector. Till 2050 amount of cars could triple to 3 Billion, share of transport of total GHG emissions could rise to 70%. 80% of nationally determined contributions (NDC) list transport as an important field of action, more than 60% identify concrete measures.
