Route 6 Urban Greenery

Malaysia has the vision of achieving ‘Garden Nation’ status by 2020, and in line with it, we have to find ways to ensure that development is balanced and our ecological integrity is preserved at the same time. The importance of urban green in national development must be emphasized so physical development could be balanced by beautiful landscape developments with quality of life.

  • Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) : Urban Forest

    FRIM is promoting a sustainable environmental management plan and optimal use of forest resources as well as education for the promotion of awareness on environment, establishment the park as a destination ecotourism and recreation. The forest among other things offering visitors various attractions and activities such as nature trails, nature education centre, camping and botanic gardens. Distance from Kuala Lumpur City Centre – 10 km

  • Perdana Botanical Garden

    The Perdana Botanical Garden is situated in the Heritage Park of Kuala Lumpur. A part of the green lung of the city and has a history of over a decade. Originally created as part of a recreational park but planted with collections of tropical plants. The garden has been rehabilitated and turned into a Botanical Garden. Its only botanical collections but also house features that give the visitors the ambiance of being in a tropical rainforest in the middle of a bustling metropolis Distance from Kuala Lumpur City Centre – 5 km
